Bloodline Across America

July 7, 2005

The Lord began to speak to me over two years ago concerning driving across the northern border of the United States and praying a bloodline as I drove. Over the course of the two years the Lord continued to speak to me concerning the trip. Never all at one time, just little pieces from time to time. Eventually, the pieces began to come together like a puzzle and I was able to see what the Lord was doing.
I still do not understand or know all of the pieces; I pray that as we step out in faith, He will reveal the necessary portions. I also trust that, I don't need to know all of the details. He is God. His ways are much higher than mine, and while I am in this suit of flesh, I will never, clearly understand all of His thoughts.
There are three phases of this trip, they are:
  • Phase I: Financial. The financial system of the United States weighed in my spirit. I sought the Lord concerning its place and He shared with me the two US Mints that produce all of the circulated coinage. One is in Philadelphia, PA and the other in Denver, CO. I know only to go and pray at these locations. A testimony of God's hand in all of this is, previously you had to schedule your visit to either mint, three months in advance and had to have the endorsement of a US Senator. Given the nature of our trip, I knew that I could not pin down a specific date/time that we would be in either location, especially Denver. Glory to God. He cut through all of the red tape and bureaucracy to see that the laws were changed concerning visiting and touring the mints. As of April of this year, both mints allow walkup tours, 5 days a week. A valid, government issued ID is all that is required. GLORY!! I did the prayer walk at the Philadelphia mint in June and will visit the Denver mint in conjunction with this trip.
  • Phase II: Mountains. There was a word of the Lord corncerning the mountains. I began to study out the different mountain ranges in the US and their summits. Colorado is home of the second highest peak in the contiguous US, Mount Elbert. I knew that I was to summit Elbert. Having no knowledge of the task I would undergo, I continued to study. Mt. Elbert is a gentle giant. It summited regularly, as the trail is 5.5 miles long and covers approx 4810 ft in elevation. Its peak is a whopping 14433 feet above sea level. No special gear or skills are required to climb the gentle giant; however, it is not to be taken lightly. At 14000, the air is very thin, making it hard to breath (for us low landers) and the 4800 ft elevation gain insures all will be met with a challenging hike.
  • Phase III: Bloodline. I knew to drive the northern border of the United States, praying. We will start in Seattle at the Space Needle and proceed through Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. We are to worship God and pray as we travel across the US.
In January, at a New Years Prayer Summit, the Lord spoke that my son Brendon, 12, and I were to make this journey this summer. We will leave Pennsylvania on July 19, 2005 and return on July 31, 2005. If, after reading this letter, you desire to partner with us, there are two ways that you may. One is prayer, the other is financially. Your prayers and financial offerings are needed as we step out in faith to meet the call that God has placed in our hearts. You can mail your tax deductible offering to Point of Contact Ministries, P.O. Box 52, Scranton, PA 18501. You can also give online. If you would like more information about POCM or the Bloodline Across America, please email us.

Again, thank you for taking the time to read this and consider partnering with us during this season.

In Christ,
Mohammed Alsaffar
